ISY DUFFY

Riding Instructor,

Office Manager

Isy started riding at the age of five in New York, as a hunter/jumper rider. She has been riding for the past 20 years recreationally and after college was missing a consistent riding routine. She began riding at Lenux Stables in 2021 and has been transitioning over to Saddle Seat, giving her a unique perspective to teach students with backgrounds in different riding disciplines.

Isy is a graduate of Wake Forest, where she majored in Mathematical Business with a minor in English. During college she volunteered at Horse Power Therapeutic Riding Center in Winston Salem, helping provide occupational therapy combined with therapeutic riding for children of differing abilities. She has held many volunteer positions involving teaching, working with children and animals. After college, she worked in Financial Services Consulting, and lessons at Lenux became her respite throughout the week. After taking lessons with Lauren, she was inspired by seeing someone who had truly followed her heart and decided she wanted to make a larger impact beyond corporate work.

Isy serves as the Barn Operations Manager for Lenux in the mornings before switching to teaching lessons in the afternoons. She writes the weekly Lenux and Lakeside newsletters and assists in day-to-day operations at the barn and office. Her favorite part of her day is teaching students and helping them build confidence as they grow to take on bigger challenges in their riding journey.
